NDR Bigband

Trombone leads, but it's not the whole story — piano, trumpet, and drums round out a musician equally at home in a big-band section, a small combo, or fronting a pop-rock trio.

A jazz combo project in Luna's regular rotation — small-group interplay alongside her big-band and orchestral work.

One more working band in Luna's rotation, part of the everyday gig life behind the competition results.
Luna's core training ground at HfMT Hamburg — Big Band, Dance Band Ensemble, and Posaunen Ensemble.
What comes through across Luna's playing is range rather than a single lane. In big-band settings she's held both section chairs and solo spots — including as a soloist with the NDR Bigband — a role that demands precision inside the ensemble and confidence stepping out of it. In smaller combos, that shifts toward interplay and listening. She's also done pit work with the Lüneburger Symphoniker and Sinfonietta Lüneburg — a different discipline again: reading, blending, supporting a score rather than leading one. And with Rockytrio, the trombone moves into pop-rock territory entirely. A fuller account of her sound in her own words is something we'd like to add here — check back, or ask her directly.
