Jugend Jazzt Hessen — Trombone Solo
1st Prize, 24 points: her first state-level solo win.
Luna Spiegel has already performed with the NDR Bigband and is a regular on Hamburg's big-band scene. She has also played in youth jazz orchestras across five German states and is part of the pop-rock band Rockytrio. She is currently studying jazz trombone at Hamburg's Hochschule für Musik und Theater (HfMT). She has shared the stage with renowned artists including Nils Landgren, Joja Wendt, Lutz Krajenski, Paul Heller, Peter Weniger, Erik van Lier, Christin Neddens, Sarah Lesch and Tilman Pörzgen.
From big-band sections and small-combo jazz to orchestra pits and Rockytrio's pop-rock stages, Luna moves between rooms most trombonists only pick one of — trombone leading, piano, trumpet, and drums close behind.
